    Hello,

We are using Altiris 6.9 SP5 build 574.

We use Altiris for managing our Thin Clients from HP T5730 and T5740.

The new Thin Clients from HP he T500 and T600 series are not supported anymore with 6.9.

In GSS 3.0 I see that Thin Clients are supported, but i cannot see which Thin Clients.

I an worried about WES 7 and WES 8 support and MS EWF on the new HP Thin clients.

We also have problems with the PXE config in our Windows 2012 DHCP Failover config on multiple sites.

Is GSS 3.0 the right choice for us ?

    Hans.

DS 6.9 SP6 & GSS 3.0 support the WES 7 OS for Thin Clients.

Could you please describe more about issues you are facing with PXE config and Thin Clients?

    Hello Swap,

In our datacenter I have our Altiris server running, On our remote locations i have a PXE server running.

On our MS DC server we have all DHCP scopes for the remote locations and on the remote PXE servers an active DHCP failover scope. all DHCP servers run on windows 2012 Altiris runs on 2008R2.

The PXE server on the remote DHCP server should reply to te PXE boot on a remote location, but while PXE booting the proxy is every time the central altiris server. So the winpe image must be transported over the WAN connection, which takes unacceptable long.

In the PXE log on the remote PXE server is see the error "Error cannot modify DHCP Server Global Options to support PXE ClassID"  I tried to set options in the dhcp scopes but that didn't work.

    Do you recognise this ?

    Please try below.

It may resolve your problem by adding manually the Option 60 (netsh) and checking the "third party DHCP server" box on the PXE server tab.
