I have a GUP who only distribute the IPS and SONAR definitions, the virus definitions are out of date on the clients

i've searched in the Debug and Syling log but found nothing :(

i will poste the files in here for more analyse from you :)

What do you have your GUP cache size set to? Default is 512MB but this is no longer acceptable. I would increase to 2048MB in size.

Also ensure you're not using RU5 as a GUP, it contains two MAJOR defects that make it unusable as a GUP, they're fixed in RU6 (coming out soon). Use older versions of SEP Agent like RU4MP1.

Right Brian, the probleme has been solved by the increase of the size of the cache...it was recommanded by the SymHelp.

Sorry for the delay...

My GUP distribute all the contents... The "I have a GUP who only distribute the IPS and SONAR definitions" was due to the "little" size of the GUP cache and the the large difference between the Virus Def on the client and the one relased by symantec.

The GUP had to deal, whit the minimum settings, whit a large amount of data and a large number of clients who needded to be up to date, and thats how he ended only distributing the lightest def (IPS and Sonar)...

But you can define which contenant the GUP can distribute to the client

Policys > LiveUpDate > the tab LiveUpdate Content : and then chosse
