  • 1.  Has anyone successfully deployed a Windows 10 Image?

    Hello,

Any anyone successfully deployed a Windows 10 Image using DS 7.6 HF6?

I have built, sysprepped and used GHOST to upload the image.

I am able to run the Image task to download the image, it even injects the drivers and unattend.xml.

However, when the system goes to boot, it acts like there is no disk.  However, using diskpart, I can see the 4 partitions there.

I know I am missing a step somthere.

Anyone have an idea to help?  I am imaging a 2 year old laptop.

    thank you,

    Mike Ferguson

Did you set the partition as GPT?  If your disk is MBR, try to disable UEFI in the bios and set to legacy boot mode.

We've stepped away from sysprep images long ago and deploy Windows OS as unattended installs, which allows to use any underlying file format (NTFS, GPT) as they're natively supported. This can be run directly from a WinPE PXE boot and so can also clear the disk prior to doing so if you will.

This way, I deploy Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 at the moment without issues.
