I have symantec antivirus, I'm sorry I don't know what version.
I recently had two viruses, one was trojan fake av another was suspicious innuendo.
I ran a scan and choose to clean / delete both virus.
In the risk history it says that the clean/deletion of the trojanfakeav was successful and yet it also says it is only partially fixed !?!?
The innuendo also says partially deleted but it was also only partially successful(one part says unsuccessful, left alone!?!?), it also says reboot required. I have tried restarting my computer several times and this doesn't help. I also tried to move the viruses into quarantine and it wouldn't let me.
Please explain how to fully remove both risks and how to properly do the reboot and/or move the viruses into quarantine.
thanks, for the help, its greatly needed,

update the virus definitons using Rapidrelease definitions and run a full scan in safe mode..

the file which is getting detected that might installed itself as a service or would have hooked itself to a critical process.
In safe mode it won't be active and will be deleted/quarantined successfully.

Is this machine connected to a network  If Yes then disconnect it from the network.

Diable System restore for all the drives on this machine by right clicking on MyComputer >> Properties >> System restore Tab.

Download and install te latest virus definitions

Restart the machine in Safe mode by hitting the F8 key at the start  and then perform a full scan
