    Daividdi,

Custom rules can be complex and have MANY possible actions that can be taken.  Is it possible for you to post more information (A screen Capture of the policy would be awesome)?  Is "Delete" the only action that the policy is set to take?  If you look in your message audit logs can you confirm that the correct media file policy is catching the emails?

    Thanks
    John

The rule itself looks good!  That is how I would set it up.  I have to ask again though if the rule is triggering on the emails.  If you search your message audit logs for one of the emails that should have been capture do they show up and is this multimedia rule hitting on that email?

A message from yourself to yourself would never hit the Brightmail Gateway, it would stay inside your Exchange server.

Try sending a message from outside your network.

    Daividi,

Please leave the optional filter value blank when searching the audit log.  We already know that the action you expect "Send notification" is not being taken so you would not find any emails matching that value.  Also please ensure you are sending the email into your domain from an external email account such as Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail or any other external mail provider.

    Thank you Very much,
    John_H

I don't know if Exchange can be configured to route internal emails to the Brightmail Gateway or not, you would need to read up on that.

If you want a product to keep your Information Store secure you would need to consider Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange.

To filter internal mail traffic that does not hit your brightmail gateway you really are best off using content filtering rules in exchange or a product like mail secuirty for exchange.
