For the past week or so, my internet home page has been periodically changed to symantec.com. I have changed it back multiple times, and each time it reverts after a little while, usually after a warning message about a "potential threat." Is this normal? I've had Symantec Endpoint Protection for about a year and never had this problem. I thought it might mean my subscription was up, but I haven't gotten an email saying as much. If someone could let me know what this means and/or how I can change it it would be relly helpful Thanks!

this has happened becuase machine found a risk and it repaired risk and set this home page.

This setting is confogured under the AV/AS policy under Miscellaneous section.

Specifies a URL to use as the home page when a security risk hijacks a client computer's home page

The client uses this URL when it repairs the risk.

You can click the lock icon to prevent users from changing the home page to be used when repairing side effects after a browser hijacking.

    Hello,

This is a part of the Virus and Spyware Protection Policy. The Internet Browser Protection specifies a URL to use as the home page when a security risk takes over a client computer's home page. The client uses this URL when it repairs the risk.

You can click the lock icon to prevent users from changing the home page.

    Hope that helps!!
