    Hi All,

I want to create a HI policy just to check if SEP is running and if it's not, start the service. I'm running SEP 12.1.7061.6600 on a Windows 7.

I created a support case in Symantec and the technician told me that for the policy to run ok, I need a SEP client installed and running so if the client is no running there is no way to apply the policy so the repair never occurs.

Is there any way to make this policy works? Have any of you the same issue?

The screenshot of the policy is attached.

    Thanks in advance

SEP controls this functionality so it needs to be installed and enabled.

If the smc service is stopped, HI is one of the components that will not work as it depends on it:
