Whenever I start my computer with Symantec Antivirus v9 then Windows Explorer is opened as well with the
initial directory= SymantecAntiVirus install dir.
How can I avoid this auto-opening at startup?

You can check the following see if explorer.exe is start on startup.
1. type msconfig.exe on RUN command. then check the Startup Tab.
2. C:\Documents and Settings\All USers\Startup
3. on Registry, HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RUN
