Hi I am unable to Block gmail from firewall. I tried to block using block rule for mail.google.com but still when i open google chrome i can login from there. I am using 12.1.6 Mp5 symantec endpoint protection manager and i am able to block twitter and youtube by using the wildcard.Please advise on to Block gmail if anyone have done it.

are you using a proxy server?
Does anything show in the Traffic log as to the entry when this is allowed instead of blocked? The rule looks fine as far as I can tell. Also, try moving the rule that blocks gmail to the very top. Does that block it?
Let me check that and i am able to block gmail.com but it is opening via googlechrome when i log in from the button gmail which is embedded in google chrome should i provide chrome.exe in block application in the firewall rule does it work?
You can try it but your rule shows it should apply to all application types.
