  • 1.  How to clear brightmail blacklist!!!!

    Based on the information I obtioned, Brightmail product have blocked email addresses from my company (ip 202.12.118.35 , domain ktb.co.th,kcs.co.th,kls.co.th).

     

    I would like to ask how to clear my company profile from brightmail blacklist or Could you give us information(our vulnerability or characteristic) why u put us in blacklist.

    Hello,

     

    If you feel that you have been put on a blocklist by Symantec you can request removal from the following site:

     

    IP Removal Site

    I already checked my 202.12.118.35 ip status on IP Removal Site , returned message is "The IP address you submitted, 202.12.118.35, was not found on any Symantec block list."

     

    But Information Window live team told me is "

    We have identified that messages from your IP (202.12.118.35) are being blocked based on the recommendations of the Symantec Brightmail  as traffic/e-mail originating from your IP matched characteristics of recent spam attacks from compromised, or 'zombie' infected, machines. "

     

    Do u have any idea?

    Hello again,

     

    From what I can tell it looks like we did have statistics from your IP that we deemed suspicious. However, we also received a request for removal that was approved. So at this point I believe you should not be blocked by Symantec software. If you still are please let me know and I will see what I can do.

     

    Depending on what is happening it may require you to open a support ticket but we will decide that when it comes.

    I thought I would post in this thread as opposed to starting a new one as I am having the same problems.

     

    My IP (78.109.160.135) seems to have been blocked by your systems.

     

    This is a major impact to my business.

    Hello Kudos,

     

    I'm sorry but I have to be fairly careful about this. This forum is not really the place to discuss issues with IP blocks since this can become a very political situation. For the business impact it can cause you are really better off calling in to support. This gives you more "weight" with Symantec having a case, plus it all gets well documented.

     

    Our outlined process is to go to the IP Removal site first. And if this does not help, to contact support. I only clarified for this last person because we had already removed his IP from a block list.
