    Hi,

I don't think that there can be problems with installation of TeamViewer 9 on client computers, using SMP Console.

If you have "Software Management Solution" installed and client computers have "Software Management Solution Agent" installed, then you just need to:

    • Open SMP Console ⇒ "Manage" ⇒ "Software" ⇒ via mouse right-click "Import Software" ⇒ add "Team Viewer" package ⇒ click on "Package" tab ⇒ there will be "Command lines" section (You can add your custom installation command line" or leave default. (If you will leave default installation command line for TeamViewer.exe, then each client will see installation Wizard UI of teamviewer, therefore you can modify default installation command line with additional parameters to perform quiet installation)

    • Create "Managed Delivery" policy ⇒ Add "Team Viewer 9" package ⇒ specify client computers in resource target ⇒ schedule installation.
    • Receive "Managed Delivery" policy on client computer ⇒ Team Viewer 9 should be installed.

I was trying to install the software as Quick Delivery.  It is a MSI file, I have attached screen shots of the steps i took, however the application is not installing.

But how you understand/determine, that this Quick Delivery task is failed on client computer?

    1. Did you make sure that Quick Delivery task was arrived or even wasn't arrived to client computer?         (Or clients are in "Maintenance Window" but you're applying Quick Delivery task without checked checkbox "Run and do not wait next Maintenance.."?)
    2. Client task agent is registered with Task Server on client computer, where you're delivering Quick Delivery task?
    3. Does the client computer has successfully downloaded teamviewer.msi package?
    4. Or installation of teamviewer.msi fails on client? What is error code?

Also check these reports to see how is going a download process and installation process of teamviewer.msi via Quick delivery task on client computers.

Open SMP Console ⇒ "Reports" ⇒ expand "Software" ⇒ expand "Delivery" ⇒

    Thanks,

    IP.

Have you tried that the installer (teamviewer.msi) is valid? Did you try to install it first on test machine before deploying it to computers using Altiris SMP?

    Regards,

    The failure code is -1

Yes, the msi file does work.  I'm able to install it manually from a cmd line with no problems.  I can see the Task History(Symantec Agent) on the Client workstation say that is running the Quick Delivery task, however it does not install the application

    I have attached additional screenshots.

    Thanks for your help

    Hi,

according to "Download Status" report, your client computers are unable to download "teamviewer.msi" package. This means that package probably isn't downloaded on Package Servers and isn't published as available for client computers.

    • If you have Package Servers, then make sure that they already downloaded this "teamviewer.msi" package and it is in ready state there.
    • You can check a download history of this "teamviewer.msi" package on client, where download was failed (from attached Download Status report). Via mouse double click on "Symantec Management Agent" tray icon on client computer ⇒ click "Task History" ⇒ check download status of "teamviewer" package (also you can check "Software Delivery" tab).

    Thanks,

    IP.

    Hi

Can you point me in the right direction for checking to see if the msi is on the package server?

You need to do similar actions on server, where Package Server is running:

    • Mouse double click on "Symantec Management Agent" tray icon ⇒ open "Package Server" tab ⇒ check status of "TeamViewer9.msi" ⇒ is it in ready state or something else?

Could you try to install "TeamVIewer9.msi", using "Managed Delivery" policy for single client computer, where Quick Delivery task doesn't install it? This will be just for test and research of why it fails to download it and what Package Server sources are offered to use for download.

When "Managed Delivery" policy will arrive to this client, then you will be able to open properties of delivered "teamviewer9.msi" to see details, about from where it tries to download it and why download fails
