  • 1.  How to disable rtvscan?

    rtvscan runs continuously on my laptop and is reducing my batttery life. How can I prevent it from running without completely deinstalling Endpoint Protection?

    rtvscan is the real time scan its needed for your complete protection however you can set this key to increase your battery life
    open registry
    start - run --regedit
    navigate to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\AV\AdministratorOnly\General
    on the right hand side find the key
    SSPowerMgmt
    make the value 1
    it wont run the scan when laptop is running on batteries.
