    I can run a scan on an IP range for UNMANAGED clients, but how do I do this for MANAGED clients... I want to search a Subnet for the managed clients. How can this be done by added the range???

    Login to the SEPM
    Go to Monitors Tab and then Logs Tab
    View Logs for Computer status

    This will give you complete list of managed computers and more details about the IP, Definition Date, Last checked in etc..

    ...I just want a specified range. I need to section this group out from the rest.

    You can also do this
    Go to clients tab.click on search for client
    In first column select IP second column select > in the third column put the starting Ip of the subnet.
    For the second row In first column select IP second column select < in the third column put the ending Ip of the subnet.
    Click on search....

    Login to the SEPM
    Go to Monitors Tab and then Logs Tab
    specify the IP address like this 10.2.10.*,10.2.11.*,10.2.13.*
    click view logs

    this will show you the specific range.

    The IP search won't allow wild cards, so the only way is for logs or reports, but you can't run scans from reports, but you CAN from logs if you use like "computer status" then the wildcards in the IP address selection on the right in advanced options..
    So Symantec needs to add the ability to search the clients tree structure using IP address, but allow wildcards.
    I can search and come up with addresses = or <= or >= but can't do a search for IP addresses = to 111.222.333.* for example.
    Bummer

    Thats true, you can't use wildcards, but you should be able to use two criteria instead.

    IP >= 111.222.333.1
    IP <= 111.222.333.254

    should give you all in the range where you have your wildcard.
