We just purchased Norton GSS 2.0 and installed it on the machine that we want to image. We cant seem to figure out how to image that computer using GSS. Can someone please help or tell me where I can get a tutorial for how to image using GSS?

    Thanks

    Hi,

It depends on the way you want to use GSS - as a standalone ghost.exe tool or as a full Ghost console product. If you are just after ghost.exe tool that you can install Ghost console and tools, then use Ghost boot Wizard to create a bootable disk (floppy, CD or USB) and then use that media to boot your machine to, capture an image and reboot back to Windows.

Ideally you want more than that so you'll have Ghost console installed on a server machine that you want to control other machines from. You then install Ghost client(s) from the console Tools/Remote client install on all machines that you want to manage. Once agent is deployed you can start creating image capture/restore, backup, migration and other tasks.

There is a good deal of documentation describing all the functionality - look under Help menu in Ghost console.

    Good luck!
