  • 1.  How do I know that the update is successful

    HI

     

    After the Offline update process I want to know whether the update succeeded or not

     

    i update from this site:

    How do I know that the update is successful
    How to show a picture from within the program that the update was successful

    Check the System log under the Virus and Spyware component. You'll see an entry:

    New virus definitions file loaded and it will show the most current revision number

    Hi Adnan,

    Your initial post is a bit vague. Are manually updating the client or manager or both? I suspect you mean the manager as the client is easy to verify.

    If the manager:

    In the lower left hand corner of the manager home page, you should see the heading Windows Definitions and two lines: Latest from Symantec and Latest on Manager. Review the date next to Latest on Manager.

    Or go to Admin -> Server -> Select your site then under the tasks section, select 'Show Liveupdate Downloads'.
