How do you install the app on a server as a managed client?

    Hi Folks,

I running an eval and so far the softwares not bad ..... I have the SEP Mgmt Console running on my server and I've pushed out 5 configs to client PC's.  All are XP Pro and working nicely.  Now I want to install the managed client on to two of my XP Servers.  One is SBS 2003 w/SP2 and the other is a full blown Server 2003 R2 also at SP2, the catch is I can't find a how-to anywhere, I tried to push out the same XP 32 bit client pkg to the server 2003 but all it did was create a folder on the sever but it's empty.

Do you treat a server the same way you treat the XP workstations?  I saw a little bit on deploying XP Server 2008 with a 64 bit pkg but nothing on Server 2003 .... theres lots on installing the software on the server to manage the system itself .... but not on adding a server as a managed client to run SEP on it.

I'm missing something someplace .....  any clue where I can find a guide?

    Cheers'
    Dave

In the documentation that comes with SEP, there is a document called SEP_SBS_BestPractices.pdf.  You might find that helpful for the SBS server.

I had no issues installing SEP on any of my W2003 servers, I just didn't install the Network Threat Protection.
