  • 1.  How i can monitor a cluster sql in monitoring solution

    Hi,  

    we was asked in monitoring services on a clustered MS SQL.

    When i try to select the cluster istance, the monitor solution bring me to the physical active one.

    Is there any best practice about monitoring cluster SQL?

    Someone use the monitoring in this way?

     

    How i can insert the virtual cluster in the resource list of the notification server?

    The best way to do this is via the use of Two Monitor Policies one for the Active and the other for Inactive or Standby SQL Server.  Using the detection rules within the monitor policy to determine which is the Active and Inactive Servers.  I believe we should have a MS Cluster Server Policy on the monitor community which could be reused to determine the same for SQL.
