How mail servers communicate to newly created DLP servers?

    Hi All,

    We are currently in migration phase where we are shifting client's Symantec (DLP, CCS and AV) servers and services from client's previous service provider's DC to our own DC. Can anyone tell me how will I make endpoint systems and servers to communicate with newly created servers ?

    Regards

    Hi Chhavi Joshi,

    Usually, you should change IP or FQDN on policy of currently solutions. Also you need save or change SSL certificates. It depends on the particular solutions and it big process which needs much knowledge.

    For SEP example, you should (very shortly):
    1. at the first, to do backup (with logs);
    2. add new management server (placed in new DC) to management servers list (in Policy tab on SEPM) and apply new policy to client;
    3. as variant - to create replication pair of SEMSs (old SEMS + new SEMS)...

    For each solutions - - its own methods, I think your better to involve several specialists (SDLP, SEP, CCS etc).
