  • 1.  How to migrate SEPM embedded database to SQL server?

    Posted Nov 21, 2017 09:24 AM

I recently installed SEP14 with embedded database.

Now we have to generate reports in a requested format that we can only build with sql statements and therefore I want to migrate the database to an existing MS SQL server.

How can this be done without losing configuration data and connectivity to the clients?

Somewhere in the forum discussions I found a link to a Symantec document, but it was dead.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Stefan

There are a couple articles on it:

    Thanks for the links.

I saw them before, but are these articles valid for SEP14 as well?

The are quite old and the tags are only for 11.x and 12.x.

A comment in the second link states that it even doesn't work on newer versions of 12.1.6 and above.

I don't want to end up with 1500 clients that are not able to connect to the server anymore...

    Best regards,

    Stefan

These are still the latest ones publicly. Maybe support can provide better assistance though.
