Hello,

We recently built a new NS (8.1) in our new AD Domain. Is there a way to move the packages from one NS in the old domain to the new NS in the new domain? The old NS has 8.0 installed on it and the new has 8.1. The old NS will be decommissioned once we get everything moved over.

we did it about one month ago.  It was painfull.   new domain, new server name, new ip

we reinstalled 8.1 fresh and restored the database, we had to open a case with tech support and Ron LeBaron and he was able to solve all the issues we had after the move.

on the old NS, we redirected old agent to the new server

finally, to follow the % of computers migrated to the new NS, we create a policy with a package that create an empty file.  this way, migrated computers get the policy, the file is created and compliance show how many computers are moved.

Thanks for the response. 

How did that work with the site servers? Since we have the old site servers in the old domain and the packages on them. Were they able to move them to the new domain using the existing GUIDS?
