How often are CachePulse policies updated

  • 1.  How often are CachePulse policies updated

    Hi;

    How often are CachePulse policies updated, and is it that the Proxy SG check for updates every certain intervale then pulls the new updates or is it a push mechanizm. It sounds to me like a conditional Get from the proxy SG with a 200OK or 304 Not modified response, but I could be wrong.

    Hi Wasfi,

     

                  There is no fixed schedule on how frequent the cache-pulse is updated. The only time a change is needed when there is either a policy correction on a existing policy for a domain (typical example would be YouTube caching policies) Or a new caching policy is added for a new web application. Proxy will be performing a version check @ regular intervals to see whether there is a new policy version available. If yes, it will pull the same and apply. Pretty much automated there.
