  • 1.  How to remove licence from SMG 9.5.3-3 ?

    Hi everyone,

    Does anyone know how to remove or change licence from the Messaging Gateway console ?

    I made a mistake during installation licence on customer SMG, and I installed licence file from another company that is valid more longer than the licence I should install.

    Is there a way to delete the existing licence?

    Just simply add the new one it will replace the old license :)

    No way, I tried.

    New licence dont replace the "old" licence. 

    Current licence ("old license") is valid until feb.2017.

    Valid license I should install is valid until dec 2015.

     

    It seems that SMG recognize only long-term license.

    hi,

    there is a way :)

    install winscp and access to the device using support account (you can enable support user by type set-support in SSH teminal or access phyiscally to the device) then search for *.slf files using winscp and delete old files

    I tried this but I have no permissions to remove old licence files.

    I tried to access with admin and support accounts, but there is state that root account is owner slf files and other accounts have no permission to delete any .slf file.

    Does anyone know password for root account for SMG?

    Hi,

    I found a way to delete .slf files.

    I accessed SMG virtual appliance from VMWare console, logged in single user mode (account "root") and deleted these files.

    good news, i think support account can delete the files.

    however it is good news that it worked
