How can I see to which regional datacentre I'm logged in? This is a privacy GDPR question: I need to confirm that data of SEP cloud client is kept within Europe and not US.Could not find settings concerning region.
Hi John,
When you created your SEP Cloud platform you would have received an email. You should be able to check there.
Otherwise you will have to log a call directly with Symantec for this information.
Thanks!
This mail, the fulfillment mail, brings no answer where the service is hosted and how I can check if I'm on the European datacenter.
When I click about / support and then support I get an error html page not exist....
That's weird...check the link below and see if it helps you with support:
https://support.symantec.com/en_US/cloud.html
That's the US version. I'm from Europe, The Netherlands.
Now I don't understand why this question is so difficult to answer. How can I see or find out in which region Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud (SEPC) is running?
The answer needs to come from Symantec or a person with knowledge of the issue who won't lead you astray by just posting random, unhelpful links.
Why have you not opened a support case??
Important to know due to the GDPR European privacy regulation.
The dropdown from this page will let you select your country: https://support.symantec.com/en_US/contact-support.html
I have checked and the Netherlands is on the list. The number is (0) 20 34 69 350
It is important to open a support case, because that way we can verify which account you are using and therefore which datacenter your information is in.
Please open a support case so we can check on our side.
I logged a case with support. SEP Cloud is currently running from US Datacenters only, not Europe. End of 2018 EU datacenters will be added to the service according to planning.
