It seems that portable HP PCs have default settings which put the PCs to sleep or in hibernation and it further seems that Altiris will show these PCs as not currently connected to the Deployment Server, but known to the Deployment Database. It also seems the Wake-up Power Contol is not recognized by the portable HP PC.  I wonder if there is a best practice document for portable HP PCs in docking stations which provides a preferred set of power options for sleep and hibernation which will can balance the PC manageablity and power consumption. Do I need to set the sleep and/or hibernation settings on the HP portable PCs to a longer period of time to fit into my manageability time frame?  Is it best to make power setting changes on portable HP PCs inside the BIOS or inside Windows? Can changes made inside Windows affect all users of the portable HP PC in a docking station?
