Endpoint Protection

Hi everyone,

I would like to ask if 1 SEP licensed can be used for Linux/ubuntu and Mac since we have a SAV for linux installer inside SEP installer downloadble on cd2.But no sav for mac installer in cd2 sep installer.
 Please advise.

SEP 11 is not supported on Linux Ubuntu. http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security.nsf/docid/2009012915530148

And as far as licensing is concerned, you need to have saperate licenses SEP and SAV for Linux. Even if you have purchased a product bundle that includes SAV for Linux and SEP, still the license for SAV for Linux will be different.

 SAV for Linux is Available SAVFL but it does not support Ubuntu 64 bit some kernel i dont remember which one.
There is SAV for MAC but you need to buy it... It can be B'coz Linux is open source but MAC is not :)

Since you have purchased a product bundle, try calling customer care or licensing team to check whether they can provide you a license if it needs one

If you have SEP Multi Tier (bundled software), SAV for Mac is included.  Check Fileconnect.
