    Hi guys,

We have an issue with our SEP Server (11.0.5.xxx). We have installed the AV client also on this folder and the i2_ldvp.tmp folder under C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\ has now more than 3GB size and keep growing.

We have tried the procedure mentioned on http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security.nsf/docid/2009042217073548 but with no luck.
After stopping (manually) the Symantec Enpoint Protection Service, (because smc -stop not working) the files under the temp folder can not be deleted (access denied, file in use).

Rtvscan is not running during this procedure. We are able though to delete these files booting in safe mode, but it happend again (the growing temp folder).

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

i have seen that he I2_LDVP.TMP folder fills  after a scheduled scan runs. This issue only seems to happen when the scan is run while the user is not logged in.

Do you have the same case?

I am not sure if the user is not logged in during the scan. Probably yes, since this is the server and there are no usually logged on users.

SEP server itself has the SEP client installed with the same policy (AV, NTP, PTP) as the other machines on the organization. The other machines though, do not have the same problem.

Do you suggest to create a different policy for this specific server in order to disable the scheduled scan for this server?
If this is the problem, it should be done to others servers as well or is there any fix for this?

    Thanks,

Try the new policy at this point of time and see if that helps .
