Hi , since Microsoft has EOL IE 8,9,10 as of January 12 . Today they will relase the last patches for these versions after which they will end support and wont releases any patches or fixes for these versions and will only support IE 11 and above like edge. Whereas the latest version of SWG that is 5.2.2 only support IE 8,9,10 and Firefox 23,24 . So I wanted to know that what is on the roadmap of SWG and how symantec SWG product line will handle this change.

    Thanks

This change does not effect the Web Gateway. Our support of a browser is based on testing and functionality, not the status of its support from its vendor.

Hi . Can you please tell me when Symantec will release new version for SWG and will have support for latest version of web browsers any expected date. BTW does this new software version for SWG gonna include some new features as well or only bug fixes that were found in previous versions ?

I Believe IE 11 will be covered in this new version of SWG.

IE version 11 will be supported in version 5.2.5. It is due to be released next month. There are multiple vulnerability and bug fixes included, but no additional features.

Thanks for the reply . So no 5,2,3 or 5,2.4 Symantec is directly moving to 5.2.5 from 5.2.2 . I think they dont like the number 3 and 4 :)

The 5.2.5 version number is becuase there were two seperate teams, one working on 5.2.3 and one working on 5.2.5. They merged both codebases into 5.2.5.
