  • 1.  Imaging a Dell E5500 Laptop iastor.sys error

    I am trying to image a Dell laptop using Ghost Solutions Suite 2.5.  Each time I start the cloning process as soon as the  command hits the  laptop ion question  I get the BSOD with the Error for iastor.sys.
    Any Idea's?

    Hello,

    Make sure the LiveUpdates for Ghost have been ran, and that you make a new boot disk. Additionally, following these steps may help (though the article references a different issue):

    Console task fails with the error "Drivers could not be found in the PreOS for the following devices" and mentions a Intel ICH SATA AHCI controller.

    When I run the Live update it does not appear to load an update.  I saw something about an FTP site. Do you have the link to that?

    It's always near the top of this forum, and describes how to get a copy of the updates for GSS if LiveUpdate barfs.
