Intel,Altiris Group

Hi,

I would like to import computer (by name or ip) to Notification server manually. I am wondering if anyone have some sql query that could be use to import them  to specific group (note: we are having some problem importing using AD that why we need different alternative at this time)

Any advice would be welcome

Hi pragmmativco,

The SMP 7.0 provide at least 3 default methods to discover computers. You cand find them at Symantec Management Console -> Actions -> Discover:

1) Import Microsoft Active Directory

2) Import Domain Membership/WINS

3) Network devices

Did you have tried these disponible methods?

Also, if you agree, we would like to help you with your AD Import problem, could you please provide more details about this?

I tried AD and Network devices,

I did a query in “Resource computers” for  eg. 'room19' and I it displayed 12 computers? of a Total of 20.

In the  “Filter options for machine with NS 7 agent installed”  I query for “room19” computers and it displayed  8 machine only, by the way these 8 pcs are also part of the 12 shown in the “computer resource”

Database checked,  EvtQFast\BAD \deadlock files moved to EvtQFast folder and “ resource membership update” too
