Is it possible and how would you configure the rule to have inbound(internet) email send to DLP (reflect mode) for analysis and based on result continue on its way?  Outbound SMG has built in function to do this.

you can use the data protection on the SMG and configure action against such inbound emails. DLP would scan for outbound emails preventing data leakage, i'm trying to understand the data leakage for the inbound emails. What's the use case?

Initially we would like to scan a couple of specific incoming email boxes (support groups) for SSN#, UK nationa #'s, CC#'s and either we may do a couple of different tasks:

    • redirect to a different mailbox for remediation.
    • modify Subject line
    • send notification to specific user group of email sitting at support group with confidential info that needs to be remediated, before handling.

    Thanks
