Deployment Solution

Has anyone been able to get this to work?

I've used the resourceimport tool to import a test XP image (not sysprep'd, so backup image), and was hoping this task would allow me to install the 7.x agent on such XP images (that we'll be fading out this year).

My deploy job is simple - reboot to pxe, restore backup image, run token script to rename computer to serial, then run install altiris agent in automation script.

The altiris agent install script is failing after 5-10 seconds.

I'm not sure where to look for a log file, if one is even being generated.

I found this howto article from symantec that said in order to run vbscript in automation, you need to rebuild the PXE environment, I did all of these steps and no change, vbscript still not running... but my token script was working already so I probably didn't need to do that.

Can someone point me in the right direction to make this work, log files to look at, etc?

What if you copy the contents of the script into a VBS and run it manually while in automation.  Does that fail?  Also, do you get any errors back from the script into the console?  I know the script has worked, but since it's obviously not working for you, I'm interested in knowing why.
