    Hi,

I have install the SEP with basic protection for server feature setting and which means that the installer will come along with Virus, Spyware, and Basic Download Protection only. May I know why the BASHdef folder will exist after install the SEP?

    Thanks.

Bash Drivers are not just limited to PTP it is used by all the features in SEP.

    in symantec's own words.

Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 12.1 RU1 has a conflict with Citrix Profile Management 4.0

Without install the PTP and Network Host Exploit Mitigation, the SEP will not protect by Download Insight, SONAR, Tamper Protection and Intrusion Prevention. Is that correct?

yes your are almost correct. But not about the Tamper Protection. it is to protect the SEP client and it will still work with the basic AV/AS feature installed alone as well.

Those should not be. Tamper Protection is a different kind of feature, which does not require content. It protects SEP's registry keys and files/folders from being changed/deleted.
