Did you ever get this issue resolved?  I am experiencing the same error.

I deleted all files from E:\Program Files\Altiris\Symantec Installation Manager\Installs\Altiris and restarted the install/download again.

When it gets to altiris_unixagent_7_1_kb53309_x64 it shows 0 kb and the  "A file not found error has occured while trying to download or copy" and then the path to the file on solutionsam.com

Thanks Hank, I try again, and it works (all the same I will have an additionnal configuration problem, because the DB was not created into the SQL, all the same having right to :( )

Any way, Can I believe in the Symantec cloud to plan any customer installation? I will prepare "offline" installation Packages instead !

I had this validation error when i forgot to change the product list settings. I was still pointing to the RC product list. After going "online" everything worked fine.

-> One of the servers had some incorrect files - which is why the issue was intermittent, and not immediately plastered all over the forums.

Backups of media are IMHO always a good idea - test environments, bandwidth savings, and to stage upgrades from previous versions to new versions are all valid and likely use cases.  (i.e. can we count on previous versions always being made available for these purposes?  With proper planning as you suggest, one should not need to have this question answered  ;)

As well, consultants are able to further add value by optimizing the engagement - i.e. not sitting around and waiting for a 2.75GB download to complete for their clients, before the installation even starts.

You are right, but I was a little bit stone, all the same using a local package, the installation duration was such a long... 3 to 5 hours in 7.0 ! The download part, is not significant according mass script DB building process.

I plan my consulting to start install before 12h, go lunch, make briefing meeting just after, architecture review & validation with customer, so the 4 hours installation was over, when coming back around 16pm, to setup initial settings.

After Symantec EPM Field Enablement meeting @Ratingen in february, we receive the Symantec information they are thinking about accelerating the setup, using a blank DB instead of the mass scripting from scratch building, as currently.
