I have been trying to install the SSIM 4.7.1 event agent in silent mode.

The command that I have been using is: install.exe -silent -s xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

I would have assumed this should work.

Also is there a way of installing the event collector in a none response mode or silent mode?

Install.exe -i silent

OK, I created a install.properties file and it works on Windows 7 but does not work on Windows 2008.

Or I should say that it works but put an message on the screen complianing about program:

setup.exe has stopped working.

My option are to either:
check online for a solution and close program
or
close program.

To me this is not a silient install where you get messages on the screen.

This has been duplicated and a case opened.  Symantec is aware of this issue.  Please open a case with your customers name so we can update our records.
