  • 1.  Installing DLP Agent 11.6 via SCCM 2007 R3

    Hello there,

    I have been attempting to install DLP agents for our x64 machines for quite some time now but got hit by install errrors.

    The actual SCCM advertisement itself went well but upon running the cmd script on the target machine, the install fails.

    I've attached both the MSI install log as well as the cmd script I used to install.

    does these machines have already DLP running? and have you set any uninstall password?

    These machines do not have DLP running when the installation was pushed and there's no uninstall password set.

    is the install credentials administrator?

    is UAC enabled? can you disable if its been enabled?

    Farid,

    You will need to make sure that the insatller is running as Administrator. Windows 7 has very strict security controls around this.

    So validate the permission level the installer will run as.

    Possible reason is from the time you install the application there are some part that not being uninstalled when the installer rolled back. try to check your registry and look for wdp or edpa and uninstll it.then run the installer using administrator

    Thanks. I managed to get the registry keys removed using a batch file, rebooted the machine and re-ran the advertisement. It works like a charm now!
