Hello everyone,

I have a little problem. I'm trying to do a deploy anywhere of a windows xp installation on a lenovo t510 4313-cto. Problem is, it's telling me I don't have the driver for the nic (intel 82577lm gigabit network connection). The thing is, I'm currently in winpe with the driver I added (I added drivers from lenovo website for xp, vista and 7) and the network work (I just ghost it that way).

I tried to download the drivers from intel website but it didn't work (also added xp, vista and 7 drivers). I've verified and it's xp 32-bits I've download.

Just to verify, you downloaded the driver in an executable archive called ProWin32.exe, extracted this with a zip utility, and added the XP driver in the PRO1000\Win32\NDIS5x folder, correct?  And then recreated the boot media?

Yes and to be sure, I've added all 3 folder of the prowin32.exe (pro100, pro1000 and proxgb), and all 3 for xp in 3 different line in ghost boot wizard.

But I found out while checking in the forum that these drivers doesn't even have my nic description in the .inf (VS the one from lenovo website, that doesn't work either) so I modded it like it's says to do so in one of the thread in here. I'm burning a new media to see if it work this time. Let's hope!

Okay, so you did check the INF for the PCI/VEN number and such? If if it isn't there, then unfortunately this leaves you with waiting for a new release of the driver package from Intel. Or, you may be able to get that driver off the source machine. I'm not sure about the folder location, but if Lenovo shipped that machine with XP, you might be able to pull it out and add that to DeployAnywhere.

That machine was shipped with windows 7. But on the lenovo website, there is xp drivers that in the inf have these lines. I've already tried them and deploy anywhere refuse to use them.

Also, the nic is already working in the PE environnement so it's stupid that it refuse to take the xp driver. Isn't there a way to tell deploy anywhere to forget about that nic and go on with the sata driver, specially since the wifi one are working?

That's the vista driver and I'm using xp. But, I did put it into the dvd, I've put all 3 of them (xp, vista and 7 cause I might need deploy anywhere from any of these 3 and vista driver are used in winpe). These are the first I've put in.

I already tried using the iteration. I know the driver are good since it's working in winpe and in windows xp, the driver are installed, just deploy anywhere that fail to find it:

no one with a solution? I've been looking for the past week for a way to make that working and I'm clueless on why deployanywhere refuse to use the xp, vista nor 7 driver I provide him.

I got the same problem as you, also with a 82577LM (on a fujitsu notbook).
I added ndis5, 61&62 on winpe-512 and it worked.
I found a correct driver here :
