Greetings All:
I am trying to deploy a job task quick delivery package to reinstall Intellichief, but it is failing during when it launches the package. I copied the whole directory where Intellichief and its files for the setup to SMP Softwary Libray. I have tested with the same directory on a local system and it runs successful in CMD with the exact command switches, just not in Altiris.
The command uninstalls the current version, then reboots the system. When the user logs back in, it kicks off the upgrade. This is the command that is set in Altiris:
"ICSetup\setup.exe" /XREINSTALL /SILENT -ENV IC01SYSTEM 10800 -WB -SC -PR -PC -BM -CS -AD –PL. I have attached the screenshot of the Job that was created.
Once the package is downloaded on the client, it starts to launch then errors out. Unknown command line switch. Setup will abort./XREINSTALL. I have attached the screenshot of the error.
I am stumped. If it works in CMD on the test system, why does it error out in Altiris? I have searched on Symantec and other areas but not finding a solution.
