  • 1.  Intermittent issue: Domain is not available

    We have been experiencing an intermittent issue with some newly configured ThinkPad T60s ever since we’ve upgrade to GhostSuite 2.  We created the last image with GhostCast server 11 (we do not use Ghost Console).  We simply bring down the image and use Ghostwalker to change the SID.  (The image is on workgroup).  We boot the PC, change computer name and add to the domain.  Some users are coming back to us saying they can’t log in to their PC off the network (with cached credentials).  Error is “The system cannot log on now because the domain ZS is not available”.  This has happened to approx. 15 users out of 40-50 upgrades.  Our only fix is to use Ghostwalker again to change the SID.  After that, we don’t hear from the user again.

     

    Note:  This problem has happened with a previous image but ghosting with GhostCast 11.  We’re going to start ghosting again with 8 and see if the problem persists.  We have an open issue with Microsoft but they have been no help.  We're not sure if it's a Ghost issue but that's the only thing that has changed in our environment.

    It's been over a month and no one seems to know the answer. I'm sorry. Perhaps my bumping this thread will alert some one to help.
