Let me note that I had initially thought it to not be working and posted my concerns here about that: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/inventory-refresh-task-no-longer-works

However is the not the case, I have 3 machines as a test group and the inventory refresh task has been running for over 24 hours here now I believe.Mind you I made the following changes from the default settings for refreshing inventory:

    1) Under options > Inventory Tab > Checked Show Collected Data Sets in Inventory and added my WMI caller to the Default View
    2) Under Collected Data > I added a new Data Set > Namespace: \\.\root\CIMV2 > WMI Name: CIM_DataFile

I needed to do this so I could run a report for machines that have a specific file with a specific version number to determine machines that need upgraded.

So the task just runs and runs (seems like it is working but it will take days to finish). I am open to any help!! In the mean time I will start disabling items in the list for CIM_DataFile as I only need two items, maybe that will speed things up.

    Thanks!!

I followed instructions on the forums to add a WMI class for inventory purposes and now unless I take that off default view and delete the class my inventory continues to run without end.

Is this a bug in Ghost or something? Or am I doing something wrong? If I try to refresh inventory on any machine the task just runs and runs.

    Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Is it possible something on our computers are not setup right? I find it very puzzling that I can not add any WMI's in collected data.

I am posting part of the log as this portion repeats over and over while the ngctw32.exe gets stuck at 50-55%
