Client Management Suite

Our NS 7 database has ballooned to 90 GB and after working with our DBA we discovered the InvHist_SoftwareProduct_InstallationInfo table is a whopping 57 GB.  The current plan is to truncate this table as we do not do any software inventory at our university.

My questions is, does anyone know why or how this may have occurred?  More importantly, is there an obvious NS setting I may have misconfigured?

You have to disable the history of resources
in the NS, Clic in Settings > All Settings

go to the folder

Settings > Notification Server > Resource and Data Class Settings > Resource Hystory

then disable o change "Keep History Duration"

Software License Evaluation Data Classes  > SoftwareProduct InstallationInfo

or

Software Management > InstalledSoftware

Awesome, thanks Cesar.  I disabled SoftwareProduct InstallationInfo and verified that InstalledSoftware was set to 6 months.
