  • 1.  IP V6 Support in PGP Universal Server

    Hi,

this question is related to the following thread: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/ipv6-suppoort-universal-server

I need clarification about IP V6 support in PGP Universal Server. Is there any update available?

If not supported, would it be thinkable to run Universal Server in combination with 6to4 routers that translate IP V6 into IP V4 and vice versa?

    Many thanks in advance!

    - Matthias

An interesting question.  Without knowing the technical details of those types of routers, to me it seems that it should work.  I'm not 100% sure how remote access would work, would you need 2 routers one for internal and one for external?

Thanks for your comment. Yes, in case of external access, e.g. via Web Messenger, this would require 2 routers, if not and only internal traffic is routed between mail server and final relay, one might be able to handle that.

But it would be even better to have built-in support for IP V6 - @Symantec: Any statement you could share?
