    Hi,

Anyone got this successfully installed so far?

The Analysis part seems to get accepted but then doesnt like the Reporting Virtual directory path...

I noticed by default it puts in our NS7 server name as apposed to the SQL/Service Desk server which is where the DB resides.

I've tried switching the server name around, but same error.

Cant seem to add a screen shot...error is as follows;   "Error Saving Reporting Server: Virtual Directory specified is incorrect."

How did you setup the reporting server? Default instance? I think ITA is far easier to configure in v7 than v6, but that's my opinion (and it doesn't really help you at all).

    no it doesnt :-p

I've setup SQL in the default instance, so not sure if its just the way i've entered the path to the Reporting Server
There is actually a Database on the sql box called ReportServer already so thought all would have been setup good.

I'll see if i can paste some of the error below, maybe you can make sense of it?

    Ok, it didnt paste right...

Basically this is the path entered for the report server; (where DBNALT-03 is the name of the SQL server)

    http://DBNALT-03/ReportServer/

Does it resolve properly, and display the reporting server interface? The biggest issue I've had in the past was ensuring the reporting server security was setup properly. Another possibility is that IIS itself is not setup properly.

    Thanks Jim,

I noticed that under ReportServer Configuration Tool that the 'Web Service Identity' had a red cross and obviously hadnt been setup correctly.
I accepted the defaults and it failed to apply. After recreating the Report Server Virtual Directory and the Report Manager Virtual Directory through the wizard, it seemed to recreate the ASP.NET service Account for the 'web Service Identity', which i was then able to apply successfully.

IT analytics 'configuration' is now completed successfully. Gona see what this is all about :)

    Cheers Steve
