While investigating performance complaints on endpoints, we discovered that Keyview OOP is using up a massive amount of the CPU time. We have the Discover.Scan_Only_When_Idle.int set to 2 and the Detection.Short_DAR_Detection_Time.int set to 2000 milliseconds. Is there anyway to throttle Keyview without preventing the scans from completing successfully?
Yes, You can pause the curent scan and can add some exclusion for trusted files, exclude files and start scanning again
Typically set Discover.Scan_Only_When_Idle.int to 1, otherwise this can happen depending on your policies and the type of file it's scanning (a small raw text file, can still containa significant amount of text to process).
