    Hi All,

I downloaded all the files from Symantec, but looks like ADK is missing from the download. At the download page it says  "WinPE can be installed using the Windows Assessment and Deployment Toolkit (ADK), please consult the user guide for full instructions." I look through the contents in the user guide and I don't see it there. Based on the videos, ADK or adksetup.exe or axinstall.exe which is shown in the videos is missing.

I have installed a trial copy of Ghost solution Suite Console 3.1 in windows server 2012R2.  I also remotely installed a client into a win10 lenovo laptop and I verified the folder and files are created there.

As you can see in the pic, the laptop is somehow brown in color - I think this means Ghost thinks its dead. Also I can right click and see "shutdown" and "restart" and "wakeup" . I tried clicking on all three but nothing happens. Both the Ghost and laptop are on the same network and they can ping each other. I've even added the laptop by MAC address and Serial number but doesn't help. Firewall adjustments were open and I've opened all ports between them. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Microsoft changed their licensing a couple of years ago which now prevents vendors such as Symantec from bundling WinPE with their own products. The ADK is a Microsoft product and as such needs to be downloaded from the Microsoft website - it is a FREE download. Just google on Window 10 1607 ADK if you want the latest.  I'm guessing that the authors of the instructions just assumed that anyone using Ghost would know what the ADK was and how to download it, so apologies for the delay caused to your eval testing.

(This release of the ADK also contains the App-V 5.2 sequencer that goes with the App-V 5.2 client that was rolled out in the Win 10 1607 anniversary update. No longer do you need to get MDOP for the sequencer.)

The computer color is Gray and this means you have no connectivity between server and client. Check your firewalls to make sure port 402 tcp is open, and turn off encrypted sessions following the documentation below.
