I have recently began installing SAV 1.0.6.10 on our Linux servers. I am wanting to proceed with installing this on our Linux Oracle database servers but am curious if there are known issues with SAV causing problems with Oracle. Can anyone point me to documentation regarding known issues and/or documentation relating to Oracle files/directories that should be excluded from the auto-protect scanning?

    HI bbull,

The latest version for SAV for Linux is SAV 1.0MR7.

We are using the same setup as of yours in our environment and till yet we haven't faced any such issues.

Also find the release notes / known issues resolve in this new build.

    Hi,

I have problems on Symantec AntiVirus 1.0.7 on Linux running Oracle Database 10G R2.
service RTVSCAND always terminated in a few minues after the service started.

    captured on /var/log/messages :

    May 11 22:00:02 orac2a symcfgd: subscriber 11 has left -- closed 15 remaining handles

This symptoms happened on ALL oracle RAC servers.
    Other servers is not affected.
    just FYI :
    1. Another servers without Oracle RAC never have problems.
    2. All servers are running RHEL 5 64 bit (Oracle and non Oracle) .

Please help and thanks in advance.
