  • 1.  Listing SEP 12.1 Policy settings

    Is is it possible to list all the settings in  a policy ?

    In SEP 11 there was no way to do this so I had to take screen shots of all the settings for documentation pusposes.

    You can do this and many other things with the latest release of IT Analytics for SEP. Works for 11 and 12.1

    export the policy

    it wil be saved as .dat

    rename it to .zip

    extract it

    you will find the main.xml

    use excel to extract settings...

    Is there an easy way to parse the date once its extracted ??

    this is the only way we can extract the settings as of now.

    Please post an idea under ideas section hope it gets implimented and we can have a report of policy settings soon :)

    I used SQL to query the table and dump the exceptions to a file. For the life of me I can not figure out how to do it again.

     

    SEP 12 and IT Analytics  will fixt this for us.

    IT analytics does this now for 11 or 12.1
