I have a user who is a small business, 13 users, who does not have a server and has an unmanaged client of SEP 11.06 on his machine.  He uses Windows Live Mail.  With Internet Email Auto-Protect on the users is unable to receive or send email, He uses the default pop3 and smtp ports, i am also allowing the encrypted Pop3, and SMTP connections.

I know it has nothing to do with the provider as another user connects to the account via outlook.  So this is an issue with LiveMail as near as i can tell.

    Any Help is appreciated

    Hello,

You could Disable or uninstall the Outlook plug-in from the SEP client via Add/Remove Programs.

To uninstall the Outlook plug-in follow the below steps:

      2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs
      3. Select Symantec Endpoint Protection
      4. Click Change
      5. When the installer appears, click Next
      6. Select Modify and click Next
      7. Open the AntiVirus Email Protection
      8. Click on the Outlook Scanner and select the This feature will not be available option
