    Hi,

Is there any way to download the liveupdate - updates manually, we are having an issue on a server and need the following file specifically...

    1281653974jtun_nav2k8enncur25.m25.seg1.zip

Could someone inform me how/if this can be done, or point me to the file?

    Thanks,
    Niall

You can download the latest  AV/AS definitions from the Symantec website. For SEP clients they are in the form of exe and for SEPM in the form of jdb.

I have a Windows XP machine which has a SEP client .Recently I was afflicted by the  fun.exe and dc.exe virus. With this attack, my registry editor was disabled, task manager disabled and windows installer corrupted. Along with this, my SEP client vanished from the tray. There was no entry for SEP in the services under computer management..

    1) Restored task manager, Reg edit, Win istallers.
    2) Removed Fun.exe, dc.exe and svic.exe  viruses with a removing tool.
    3) Repaired my SEP Client software from add/ remove programs. Now the SEP icon shows on the tray , with communication from SEP Server nomal ( Green point glows).
    4) Windows reports as Vurs protection present
    5) But I am not able to open the SEP client window for various maintenance works.
    6) Other clients around me are able to do it.
    7) Our SEP Server is at a faraway geographical location.

WHy is this happening? is there any solution that I as a client can do?
