I've got Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 11.0.6005.562 running on Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 SP2. It's managing 7 clients. 5 are Windows XP Pro and 2 are Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. The XP clients check in with the management server and download updates properly.
I'm having an issue with the Windows 7 clients. They check in to the management server (the Last Check-in date is consistently updated) but they don't download the updated definitions. The SEP client version on the Windows 7 clients is 11.0.6005.562.
I've done the secars test and telnet test from the Windows 7 clients to the management server. Both tests were successful.
If I right click on one of the Windows 7 clients in the Symantec Manager Console and do Run Command on Clients > Update Content, I can immediately see a LiveUpdate error in the Windows 7 client's event log. It shows as an Error, Event ID: 13, Source: SescLU, Message: LiveUpdate returned a non-critical error. Available content updates may have failed to install.
If I try to run LiveUpdate manually on the Windows 7 clients by launching luall.exe, the same error appears in the client's Event Log.
Any ideas? Does 11.0.6005.562 have compatibility issues with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit?
Thanks!
