  • 1.  location awareness through wireless SSID

    Has anyone gotten the location awareness to work based on wireless SSID? I am having a tough time to get it working. Essentially I do not want my users connecting to a certain SSID and I am not sure how to go about doing this if I can't get the SSID to work. ANy help would be appreciated.

    I am not finding any reported issues with Location Awareness by SSID. What buid are you using? There were a couple of wireless related fixes in MR3 and MR4, but I these did not mention SSID.

    We are running 11.0.4202.75. I am able to filter by default gateway / DNS entries etc., but not by the wireless SSID. The client in this case is vista 64-bit.

    I Guess we do not have an option in SEP to set conditions to switch locations based on SSID.

    Have you tried testing this with 32bit or XP?
